Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mary Louise Alexander will be Saturday morning at 10:00 AM at Clearview Cemetery. The Rev. Fred Johnson will eulogize and Gwen Harvey will assist. Mary was born June 30, 1932 to Alberta and Eugene Williams. She was a lifetime resident of Ardmore, until a short stay in Houston following failing health. She became a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church during the pastorate of the Rev Hanna. Mary departed this life Sunday, 04 April 2021 in a local health care facility at the age of 88 years. She worked many years at Stromberg Carlson, as a Nurse Aide, as a private Home Health Care Provider, and as a Foster grandparent at Will Rogers and Franklin Elementary Schools in Ardmore. Mary Louise is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Loretha Johnson, brothers, Pat Williams and Lee Williams; daughter, Alice Mryna Brown and a grandson, Charlie Brown. Her belated best friends are Helen McGee, Peggy Purvey, Alice Brown, and Laverne Sanders. She leaves to mourn her homegoing her children, Lester Charles Brown, Ardmore, Sandra Stevenson and her husband, Winfred, Baytown, TX, Rose Anna Harvey, CA.; Maggie Marshall & husband, Ricky, Ardmore; Pattie Pendgraf and Dr. Young, Mercer Island, Washington; Coquesa Pendgraf, Houston; Alva Brown, Humble, TX; Henry Alexander, Houston; Lisa Jones, St. Louis Missouri; sister-in-law, Maggie Williams; four generations of grandchildren, the Mt. Zion Church family and many other relatives and friends. The Viewal will be held at Kirk Funeral Home Chapel Friday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. Friends and Family will serve as Pallbearers.
