Rickie Charles Marshall Sr, born on December 31, 1952, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Willa Bell and RC Marshall. He grew up in California, graduating from Alexander Hamilton High School in 1971. Accepting Christ at an early age, Rickie was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. His spiritual foundation guided him throughout his life, providing strength and comfort in times of joy and sorrow.
A dedicated and hard worker, Rickie spent many years at Uniroyal and later retired from Dollar General. He was a loving husband, a provider, and an amazing dad. Rickie and Maggie shared a deep connection, and their love endured for nearly five decades.
A true lover of life, Rickie found joy in fishing, hunting, farming, gambling, and sharing laughter with friends under the shade tree. His greatest source of pride and joy, however, was being a devoted father. He leaves behind a lasting legacy that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Rickie was preceded in death by his parents, Willa and RC Marshall, his brother Daryl Marshall, his son Carlos Marshall, Uncles Quincy Fuller, Charlie Fuller, Norman Fuller, Raymond Fuller, Eugene Fuller, mother-in-law Mary Alexander, and cousins Victor and Vance Dokes.
Surviving to carry on his memory are his loving wife of 49 years, Maggie Marshall, and their children Victor Price, Charles Wright, Detroit Pendergraf, Nova Marshall, Rickie Marshall Jr. He is also survived by his brother Dwayne Marshall, Uncle Quimble "Sonny" Fuller, aunt Cora 'Tiny" Dokes, Uncle Ross "Jack" and Nissi Fuller, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Rickie Charles Marshall Sr peacefully departed this world on February 15, 2024, surrounded by the love of his wife and daughter at home. He will be remembered for his warm heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for his family. As we say our goodbyes, let us celebrate the rich tapestry of his life and the enduring impact he had on those fortunate enough to have known him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
