Rosie Lucille Berryman was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma, on May 30, 1938, to the late Hattie Mae (Williams) and Oscar Berryman. She was called to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 9, 2023.
Rosie grew up in Ardmore and graduated from Douglas High School with the class of 1958. Rosie joined church at an early age and became a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Rosie married Lawrence Hennesy January 21, 1963.
Rosie had a great work ethic and retired from Uniroyal Tire Co in 1993. She also worked for many years for Judge George Woodrow, Attorney Bert Mordy, and H.L. and June Morris for many years.
Rosie’s passion was always caring for others, and she volunteered her time helping others which included: Mental Health Services of Southern Oklahoma (Club House), Mercy Hospital volunteer (Pink Lady), loved the Food Bank and the Soup Kitchen. She really had a heart to help and serve. Her passion showed daily in her life and career choices. She great was a listener.
Rosie loved cooking and her favorite food was greens and cornbread. She also had a great fondness for fishing and sitting on her front porch, as well as watching her favorite television shows such as soap operas and the lifetime channel.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, siblings Bobby Berryman, Sidney Berryman, David (Buddy) Berryman, Luttie Mae Lucky, Dorothy Berryman, and Jap Berryman, and her children Regionald Berryman, Michelle Hennesy, and Rodney Hennesy.
Rosie is survived by her children Lionel Berryman and wife Connie, Jerome Hennesy, Paulette Avery, and husband Sam, 16 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
